Tracer

The tracer is a thin wrapper over AWS Lambda Powertools’ tracer, giving your handlers X-Ray distributed tracing with minimal ceremony. Tracing is active by default on framework-built functions (disabled only when you opt out via lambdaDefaults).

What it does

• Captures segments and subsegments for downstream AWS SDK calls.
• Annotates traces so you can slice by route, stage, or custom dimensions.
• Integrates with the tracing config the factory applies per function.
